A VOLUNTEER surgical team from the United States has brought smiles back – literally – to 67 Zimbabwean kids with facial deformities.

A group of American surgeons will visit Zimbabwe next month to conduct free corrective surgery on children and adults with disabling mouth conditions known as cleft lip and cleft palates.

A GROUP of American surgeons from Operation of Hope will be returning to Zimbabwe on their third mission to perform free corrective surgeries on children with cleft lip and cleft palates this month at Harare Children's Hospital.

The United States team of medical doctors under Operation of Hope is expected to return to the country in April and October next year to carry out more reconstructive surgeries on cleft lip and cleft palate.
