I thought you might like to see how your very generous donations (thank you!) to The Smile Train are making a difference in Afghanistan.

We went there to thank and encourage one of our best partners and one of our star surgeons, Dr. Hashimi.

Hashimi and his team have operated on almost 1,000 children over the past year or so under unbelievably difficult circumstances.

Hashimi could easily be in the UK or the US making hundreds of thousands of dollars a year and playing golf every Wednesday afternoon. But instead, he has chosen to stay in Kabul and help his people. He is a true modern-day good Samaritan!
